Energized by grace, First Presbyterian Church of Oxford seeks to provide a hospitable environment in which to worship God; to know and demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ; with the help of the Holy Spirit to support, nurture and sustain all on their journeys of faith; and to serve as the hands and feet of Christ here and around the world.

FPC is one of the oldest congregations in Oxford, having been founded in 1837. We are a growing, vibrant twenty-first century community of faith whose goal it is to apply the convictions we celebrate each Sunday to our lives everyday. A warm and hospitable congregation, who lives out God’s remarkable grace in service to one another and to the community.

At FPC, we live the questions of our faith and strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment to seek answers through Scripture, our creeds and confessions and our experiences. As Christ’s disciples, we strive to nurture each person’s unique journey of faith, to explore the challenges and mysteries of Christian living and to reach out to a hurting world with compassion and love.

Worship at FPC focuses upon the contemporary challenges of the faithful and the love of God for all people. Shaped by God’s grace as found in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we also seek to strengthen our faith through education, fellowship and mission in meaningful and practical ways. With that objective as our common bond, we celebrate and respect the rich diversity of background and belief to be found here. We welcome you to join us.
