The youth program at First Presbyterian Church aims to teach, train, and equip our students to become lifelong followers of Christ. All are welcome to join us on our journey of faith, fellowship and figuring it all out. Our youth program is run for grades 6 through 12.

Each Sunday morning, the youth ministry at First Presbyterian has three offerings for Sunday school from 9:45am to 10:45am. The 6th and 7th graders are invited to meet in the upstairs of the Fellowship Hall for a class introducing biblical literacy, the 8th grade class meets in the UKirk annex for Confirmation class and the 9th through 12th graders meet for a discussion on the lectionary text in the PYF annex building.

Presbyterian Youth Fellowship, or PYF for short, meets every Sunday night to break bread together, have fun together and learn together. 6th through 8th grades meet from 5pm to 6:30pm and 9th through 12th grades meet from 6pm to 7:30, both in the PYF annex building. All are welcome, bring a friend or 2!

During the school year weeks, we have Before School Breakfast Clubs. 6th – 8th grade girls on Mondays at Heartbreak Coffee. 6th – 8th grade boys on Tuesdays at Heartbreak Coffee.  9th – 12th grade girls on Wednesdays at High Rise Donuts.  9th – 12th grade boys on Thursdays at High Rise Donuts.

In the summertime each year, our rising 9th graders through graduated seniors head to the Montreat Youth Conference in Montreat, North Carolina for a week of fun, faith and mountain climbing at the beginning of June. Our rising 6th through 8th graders head to Green Lake, Wisconsin in July for The Great Escape Midwest.

First Presbyterian Church believes that the youth are not just the future, but also the present of the Church. We believe that the youth and the rest of the congregation are one body, living life and pursuing faith together.
