Weddings
Marriage is a gift from God for the well-being of the entire human family. In the Presbyterian Church, a wedding ceremony is a Christian service of worship, publicly witnessed and acknowledged by the community of faith. Our pastor ordinarily officiates at all weddings held at FPC. All music and readings selected for the service offer glory to God who sanctifies the gift of marriage. To learn more about weddings at FPC, you can review our wedding policy or contact the church office to schedule a time with our pastor.
Funerals
The death of a loved one is sometimes unexpected and always painful. During a time of grief and sorrow, pressing questions arise about funeral arrangements, leaving family members and close friends of the deceased with the responsibility of navigating the logistics of a funeral. In order to facilitate this process, the Session of First Presbyterian Church approved a policy handbook in 2009 to help families maneuver the often-complicated details of planning a funeral service. Our pastor, staff and congregation want to assist you in any way possible. Please click on the link below to view the policy. If you have questions or require additional information, contact the church office at 234-1757.
